We are seeking an experienced Chartering Executive to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in market development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Development & Business Intelligence:
- Active vessels sourcing and charters negotiation: Identify suitable vessels, negotiate chartering terms and manage the signing of charter party agreements.
- Conduct market research to gather valuable business intelligence on the Offshore & Subsea market, identifying trends and opportunities.
- Cross-Platform Marketing:
- Drive multi-platform and cross-channel marketing efforts for vessel services (AHTS, AHT, PSV, DSV, Drilling Rig, Wind Turbine Installation Vessel, Heavy Lift Vessel etc) tailored to the Offshore & Subsea market.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to cross-charter third-party vessels to enhance division revenue.
- Contract & Commercial Strategy:
- Co-develop market requirements for current and future vessel services, products and solutions.
- Collaborate closely with the Operations team, acting as the commercial focal point to support project execution and service delivery.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Coordinate and arrange meetings with vessel owners, potential customers, brokers, agents and client representatives, ensuring clear communication and seamless collaboration.
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders to promote business growth and operational success.
- Performance Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare comprehensive management reports to evaluate business performance, assist in forecasting and shape commercial strategies.
- Monitor and regularly report on all marketing activities, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Post-Chartering Management:
- Oversee post-chartering processes, including resolving disputes, handling statement of accounts and managing collections.
- Charter Party Contract Oversight:
- Review and assess contractual terms related to offshore vessel charters, ensuring compliance and identifying any potential performance issues.
- Collaborate with the legal team to address contractual disputes and finalize agreements.
- Shipping Operations Coordination:
- Monitor the progress of vessel voyages, coordinating with relevant parties to ensure timely and efficient operations.
- Resolve operational challenges and emergency issues as they arise, maintaining continuity of service.
- Global Travel & Team Collaboration:
- Willingness to travel globally and work collaboratively with a team of professionals across various geographical locations.
- Maintain strong communication with international teams to ensure smooth operations and consistent service delivery.
- Fluent Communication:
- Proficient in both written and spoken English and Mandarin, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, external stakeholders, and clients.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within offshore chartering business
- University Degree or Diploma in Marine Discipline, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in word processing tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability and willingness to travel as required by management.
