Job Summary: The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of our retail operation.
Responsibilities:
- Operations Management: Implement current operational strategies, policies, and procedures. Monitor and evaluate operational performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Supply Chain Management: Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. Monitor inventory levels and manage procurement activities to maintain optimal stock levels. Collaborate with the procurement team to source and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
- Warehouse and Inventory Management: Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfilment, and shipping. Ensure accurate tracking and efficient utilization of stock. Conduct regular inventory audits and implement corrective measures to minimize discrepancies and stockouts.
- Team Management: Lead and motivate a team of operations staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. Delegate tasks and responsibilities, ensuring effective resource allocation and workload management. Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus within the operations team.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Analyze operational data, KPIs, and performance metrics to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as sales, marketing, and finance, to ensure alignment of operational activities with overall business objectives.
Liaise with external partners, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies, to address operational requirements and resolve issues.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in operations management, preferably in a similar cosmetic retail industry or organization.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, inventory control, and logistics.
- Proficient in using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and other relevant software.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities.
