Job Responsibilities:
- Managed day to day Operations matters which includes also crewing
- Monitor and control vessel OPEX to ensure that they efficiently and effectively provide needed services while staying within budgetary limits
- Recommend and provide to Senior Management effective cost control measurements to operate the fleet of vessels
- Effectively manage vessels’ insurance claims (if any)
- Ensure compliance with Statutory & Class requirements by all vessels and raise corrective action when necessary.
- Ensure that the crew are qualified i.e. meet the Company and flag state requirements with regards to certification and experience prior to joining the vessel. (Deck & Engine)
- Liaise with client on operational requirement and follow up for compliance with client throughout the charter
- Attend to operation inspection, accident / incident investigation together with client’s representative
- Serve as a primary point of contact to vessels for Operation guidance
- Provide support on special projects utilizing marine expertise.
- Review, vet and verify purchase requisitions (deck department). Discuss with the purchaser in ensuring vessel budget complied with and control the expense in way of approvals and frequent monitoring of expenses.
- Assist senior Management in Nautical / Maritime research Assist Fleet Manager on Operational / Deck requirement to ensure fleet vessels are compliant.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years experience in same capacity in offshore industry
- Minimum Polytechnic Diploma with Nautical Experience, Seagoing experience as deck officer or Captain is advantage
- DPA certified
- CSO certified
- ISM internal auditor certified
- Able to travel as and when required
- Attend to vessel inspection overseas
- Attend to client’s meeting overseas
- Interview Deck crew to verify competency
- Seafaring experience in Deck capacity
- Microsoft Office, interpersonal, leadership
- English spoken and written compulsory, Basic Bahasa will be an advantage
