The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Package Engineer to join our team on an 8-month fixed-term contract based in Loyang Crescent, Singapore.
The successful candidates will be responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating the technical aspects of marine and mooring projects in a professional and timely manner within project budget limits. They will lead and manage the engineering and logistics aspects of the projects as required and ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective planning and execution of InterMoor operations.
Duties/Responsibilities
Conduct all activities in accordance with the Company’s Policies and Procedures
HSSEQ compliance following all policies and procedures
Participate in short-, medium- and long-term project management
Work closely, collaboratively and openly with stakeholders in order to achieve high quality work in line with InterMoor standards
Ensure projects are carried out within the budget, on time and according to department procedures and QA standards
Manage and supervise subcontractors and vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery of products and services in line with project requirements
Participating in Client / Contractor meetings and resolution of any project issues
Develop effective operational communication with the Client
Lead and actively involved in Constructability Review and HIRA / HAZID sessions
Determine resource requirements including indicate key and critical resources and develop schedule, work plans and procedures for most efficient operation for the projects assigned
Develop and write up relevant project document as below but not limited to :
o Installation procedures and lift plan
o Installation aids conceptual design
o Towing and hook up procedures
o Sea fastening conceptual design
o Internal document review and comments
o Miscellaneous marine operations (e.g. offshore lifts, anchor deployment & recovery, etc.)
Submit in timely manner and good quality of all project documents as per document register
Oversee offshore operations in line with project procedures and guidelines
Assign tasks, brief field crew personnel and execute work plan
To ensure his/ her own safety and that of others is not compromised or placed at risk
Quality assurance during the job and of the final results
Attend and involved with :
o Offshore operations
o Mobilisation operations (Sea fastening and quayside load outs)
o Meetings, inspections and tests at client/vendor premises
o Training and possible local/overseas assignment (when required)
Project administration and documentation
Finalize project reporting, close out, recovery and recording of lessons learnt
Lead technical requirements for tenders
Training fellow colleagues and undertake peer reviews
Participate in research and development programs
Requirements
Degree-qualified and accredited by an engineering body
Minimum 7- 8 years project engineering experience within subsea construction, renewable or decommissioning sectors including relevant offshore experience
Strong knowledge of MS Office suite
Other software knowledge and skills
Desirable: MS Project and AutoCAD
Beneficial: GMOOR, Strand7, ANSYS, AQWA, Optimoor, Inventor, Orcaflex
Able to work independently with minimum supervision
Attention to detail together with the ability to work and solve problems independently
Ability to work in a team and take constructive criticism with open mind
Ability to rapidly understand and adopt new concepts is vital
Responsible and professional attitude with regards to all communications, verbal and written
