Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive credit analysis and financial modeling for potential investments
- Perform detailed due diligence including management interviews, industry analysis, and risk assessment
- Prepare investment recommendations and present to clients and investment committees
- Monitor existing portfolio investments and assess ongoing credit performance
- Analyze covenant compliance and financial reporting from portfolio companies
- Build and maintain relationships with investment banks, brokers, and other intermediaries
- Review legal documentation including loan agreements, security documents, and corporate structures
- Originate deals in the real estate sector
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
- 8-10 years of experience in private credit, direct lending, corporate banking, or leveraged finance
- Previous experience at investment banks, credit funds, BDCs, or commercial banks
Technical Skills
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills
- Credit analysis and risk assessment expertise
- Advanced credit structuring and complex transaction experience
- Portfolio risk management and stress testing methodologies
- Understanding of loan documentation and legal structures
- Knowledge of covenant analysis and portfolio monitoring
- Experience with distressed credit situations and workout processes
- Real estate market analysis and property valuation expertise
- Knowledge of construction and development financing structures
- Experience with credit committee processes and investment decision-making
