Salary: $2,500 to $3,300
We are looking for a Production Supervisor to facilitate oversees daily operations on the production floor, ensuring that products are produced safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. Key responsibilities include:
Primary Responsibilities:
Production Over-sight:
1. Monitor and coordinate daily production activities.
2. Ensure production schedules and targets are met.
3. Allocate resources (labour, materials, machines) effectively.
Quality Control:
1. Ensure products meet all technical specifications and safety standards.
2. Work closely with quality control (QC) teams to identify defects or process gaps.
Workforce Management:
1. Supervise production workers and machine operators.
2. Provide training, mentorship, and performance feedback.
3. Enforce safety protocols and discipline when needed.
Process Improvement:
1. Identify and implement ways to optimize efficiency.
2. Reduce scrap/waste and minimize downtime.
Reporting & Documentation:
1. Maintain records of production volumes, defects, and downtime.
2. Report issues and progress to upper management.
Maintenance Coordination:
1. Work with maintenance teams to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
2. Schedule preventive maintenance.
Compliance:
1. Ensure adherence to industry standards (e.g., ISO, IEC).
2. Maintain a safe and compliant workplace WHS compliant.
Prerequisites / Qualifications
Education:
1. Minimum: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
Preferred: Degree with manufacturing, electronics, or process engineering background.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of:
1. Fuse technology will be added advantage
2. Assembly line machinery manual and automation.
Familiarity with:
1. Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen principles.
2. Quality standards and compliance (e.g., ISO 9001, RoHS).
3. ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, U9, etc.).
Experience:
1. 3–5 years in a manufacturing environment, ideally with experience in electrical component production.
2. Supervisory or team-lead experience in production settings.
Soft Skills:
1. Leadership and people management.
2. Problem-solving and decision-making.
Communication and organizational skills.
1. Time management and adaptability under pressure.
2. Fluent in written and spoken English and Mandarin as this position require to liaison with China counterparts
