Our research focuses on the microstructure optimization of nickel alloys for the improvement of hydrogen embrittlement resistance. TEM, XRD and EBSD techniques will be employed for the microstructure study.

We are looking for a Project Officer (PO) to lead the project of microstructural tailoring for enhanced hydrogen embrittlement resistance. The role will focus on the study of hydrogen embrittlement of nickel-based alloy by different manufacturing methods that can produce different microstructures. The PO will also support the project Crystal orientation control through laser metal deposition for enhanced hydrogen embrittlement resistance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the conduct of research project with research team members to ensure completion of deliverables
- Prepare TEM specimen, conduct failure analysis to correlate the hydrogen response with the microstructure
- Maintenance of lab or equipment or supplies that include procurement and liaison with suppliers
- Assist or produce high quality reports and documents that consolidate research findings
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in materials science and engineering
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in similar role / technical hands-on experience in specific scope
- Familiarity with required scope (e.g. national codes and standards)
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Excellent Interpersonal skill
