Purchasing Manager
Salary: $3000 – $3500
Location: Island Wide
Working Hours: 9am - 5pm
Job Summary:
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with business goals.
- Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with other departments to forecast demand.
- Review and process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods/services.
- Establish cost control strategies and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and legal requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
- Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and supplier performance.
- Collaborate with finance and warehouse departments for invoice verification and inventory control. Manage and mentor a team of procurement officers or buyers, where applicable.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1-3 years Experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar procurement role.
- Strong negotiation, communication and leadership skills.
- Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Solid knowledge of supply chain procedures and inventory management. Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
