Job Summary :
The Restaurant Manager will oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring that guests receive exceptional service while maintaining an efficient and profitable environment. The role will involve managing staff, inventory, budgeting, compliance, and fostering a positive work culture in accordance with the Tripartite Guidelines on Fair Employment Practices.
Key Responsibilities :
- Staff Management :
Supervise, train, and motivate restaurant staff to ensure high performance.
Conduct performance appraisals, provide constructive feedback, and ensure professional growth opportunities for team members.
Ensure the restaurant is adequately staffed during peak hours, managing rosters and attendance.
Handle disciplinary matters and conflicts in a fair and impartial manner, in line with company policies and employment laws. - Customer Service :
Ensure consistent high-quality service, addressing customer complaints promptly and professionally.
Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance customer satisfaction.
Develop strategies to enhance customer loyalty and build a strong client base. - Operations Management :
Oversee day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth workflow and compliance with health and safety standards.
Monitor and manage restaurant budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while maximizing profitability.
Supervise inventory management, ordering supplies, and ensuring stock levels are adequate without overstocking.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in all areas of the restaurant. - Financial Management :
Manage budgets, financial records, and ensure accurate reporting of sales, expenses, and revenue.
Implement strategies to control costs without compromising quality of service.
Analyze sales trends, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction to recommend improvements. - Compliance :
Ensure all operations are compliant with Singapore's laws, including the Employment Act, Workplace Safety, and Food Safety regulations.
Adhere to Tripartite Guidelines on Fair Employment Practices by providing fair treatment in recruitment, training, and promotions.
Keep up-to-date with new legislation and industry best practices, ensuring the restaurant stays compliant. - Marketing & Promotions :
Develop marketing strategies to promote restaurant services, including social media campaigns and community events.
Create promotional offers and events to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, partners, and stakeholders.
Key Requirements :
- Education :
Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. - Experience :
- At least 1 year in a supervisory role.
Proven track record of managing a team and driving business performance.
Experience in customer service, financial management, and operations management in a similar setting. - Skills :
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to handle customer complaints and resolve conflicts diplomatically.
Sound financial acumen with experience managing budgets, cost control, and revenue generation.
