Restaurant manager
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Restaurant Manager to lead the team at our Italian restaurant and bar.
This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to oversee both dining service and bar operations with attention to detail and authentic Italian hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of both the restaurant and bar
- Ensure exceptional guest service, from casual aperitivo to full Italian dining
- Lead, train, and inspire front-of-house and bar staff
- Maintain high standards of food and drink presentation and service
- Oversee scheduling, team performance, and workflow efficiency
- Monitor bar stock, ordering, and liquor compliance
- Handle reservations, guest feedback, and complaints professionally
- Coordinate with kitchen, suppliers, and management for smooth service
- Ensure hygiene, safety, and licensing standards are strictly followed
- Support cost control, budgeting, and sales targets
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience as a Restaurant Manager (experience with bar operations is a plus)
- Understanding of Italian cuisine, wine, and beverage culture
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and keep a positive attitude under pressure
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic inventory and cost management
- Fluent in English (Some knowledge of Italian is a plus)
- Able to work on weekends and public holidays
- 5.5 day work week based on roster shift
