Responsibilities:
Strategy and Planning
- Contribute to the development of Deposits growth and retention strategies and marketing plans.
- Guide product development, including system development and processes.
- Develop customer segmentation program within suite of product offering, as necessary and guided by broader Group, Branch and Retail Banking strategy.
- Evaluate new business opportunities.
- Critically assess viability of new products/initiatives.
- Ensure business efficiency and effectiveness subject to market environment and constraints.
- Develop and align Deposits pricing strategies with Group, Branch and Retail Banking strategy.
Business Performance and Management
- Consult with Management on strategies and plans.
- Implement Deposits growth and retention strategies and marketing plans including tracking and administration of campaigns.
- Monitor balance sheet and P&L and take corrective action.
- Develop business case for initiatives and projects.
- Resolve business (business as usual and ad-hoc projects/initiatives) issues (including customer and operations related).
- Front-face external parties e.g. MAS, ABS, vendors, partners, competition etc. as tasked.
- Monitor competition and suggest counter-actions.
- Portfolio tracking and analysis to ensure products are aligned to desired target segments and remain customer centric.
- Facilitate customer segmentation program within suite of product offering.
People Management
- Maintain strong relationships will all internal and external stakeholders.
- Train and coach staff, towards fulfilment of team and organisational goals.
- Provide business direction and leadership to relevant stakeholders such as Operations and IT where necessary.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance to regulations and internal policies (where applicable) by the product, associated processes and various stakeholders.
Requirements:
Qualifications
- Degree in any discipline
Relevant Work Experience
- 5 – 8 years of Consumer Banking experience preferred
- Business, P&L management experience preferred
Technical/Functional Skills
- Ability to pre-empt issues
- Familiarity with the Deposits business
- Understanding of the Deposits and Retail Banking environment
- Strong understanding of marketing and campaign management
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong ability to manage projects
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Responsible, takes initiative and a can-do attitude
- Ability to direct and listen
