Job Description
We are seeking a full-time, entrepreneurial-minded, all-rounder for our startup engagement programmes to be part of our growing team in Singapore.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on market-leading programmes that facilitate pilots and collaborations between global built-environment startups and the Kajima Asia Pacific group in live test-bed environments. Selected startups have access to The GEAR Building’s world-class facilities, mentorship, and grant funding from The GEAR by Kajima Pte Ltd for projects to fast-track commercialisation of new technologies in the industry.
The Startup Programmes Senior Associate / Associate is responsible for supporting in the delivery of the Startup CoLab and Community Access Programmes to liaise with stakeholders, organise events, and keep programme timelines and admin on track.

Key Responsibilities
Startup Programmes Support
- Drive the execution of the Startup Residency CoLab Programme in partnership with the Startup Programmes Lead, ensuring all phases from planning to delivery are aligned with strategic objectives and delivered on time. .
- Manage the opportunity pipeline for startup engagement, including regularly interviewing and assessing new startups for potential collaborations with Kajima business lines.
- Develop, edit, and distribute high-quality programme materials such as onboarding documents, session presentations, workshop handouts, and feedback forms to support startups throughout the programme.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate workshops, guest speaker sessions, and networking events , ensuring all logistics, speaker briefs, and participant communication are well-handled.
- Monitor programme performance by synthesizing feedback and data to prepare progress reports on programme updates, outcomes, and impact metrics for internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide project management for Proof-of-Concept projects between Kajima and startups, including setting project milestones, managing deliverables, and ensuring stakeholder alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Community Management
- Oversee the strategic and operational delivery of the Community Access Programme, ensuring high-quality member experience from onboarding through to ongoing engagement.
- Serve as a key relationship manager for community members, ensuring regular and meaningful interactions that build trust, encourage feedback, and promote collaboration.
- Champion initiatives that drive community value—designing and executing member-led events, thematic meetups, and joint innovation activities in collaboration with the wider team.
- Identify, reach out to, and nurture new leads for community membership by attending networking events, exploring industry connections, and leveraging digital platforms.
- Create compelling thought leadership and storytelling content , such as case studies that highlight programme impact and member spotlights showcasing innovative community contributions, for use in newsletters, social media, and marketing campaigns.
Event Coordination
- Take ownership of the end-to-end planning and execution of high-profile internal and external events, ensuring alignment with brand positioning, audience objectives, and strategic outcomes.
- Lead cross-functional event operations by managing guest lists, tracking registrations, and overseeing onsite logistics to deliver a seamless experience.
- Maintain a detailed event project tracker , assigning tasks, monitoring deadlines, and proactively resolving bottlenecks to ensure event timelines stay on schedule.
- Coordinate with external vendors , such as catering providers, design agencies, and AV teams, to ensure all logistical arrangements meet event requirements and standards.
- Support on-site event operations, including setup, troubleshooting, and post-event wrap-up, ensuring events run smoothly from start to finish.
