Salling Search is assisting an international shipping company to look for a Senior Chartering Manager (Supramax) based in their Singapore office.
Key responsibilities
- Driving earnings on assigned tonnage through active trading of cargoes and vessels
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with brokers, owners, customers, and internal teams
- Developing short-term trading strategies to maximise revenue
- Collaborating closely with Operations to ensure voyage optimisation and service delivery
- Sharing timely market intelligence to support informed trading decisions
- Exploring strategic trades to support global expansion
Key Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in dry bulk Chartering (Supramax).
- Strong familiarity with the Pacific dry bulk markets
- Proven track record in trading cargoes and managing tonnage
- Basic understanding of freight derivatives (FFA) and hedging tools
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong commercial mindset
