1. Position Overview
The Director (APAC) will be responsible for leading, managing, and expanding the company’s meat products manufacturing and export operations across the Asia-Pacific region. The role involves driving sales growth, developing strategic partnerships, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining compliance with regional regulations. This senior leadership position will be based in Singapore and will report directly to the CEO and work closely with global management teams.
2. Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute APAC regional strategies for sales, marketing, and distribution of meat products.
- Identify and expand into high-potential markets across the region.
- Business Development:
- Establish and strengthen partnerships with distributors, retailers, and food service companies.
- Negotiate high-value contracts and agreements with key stakeholders.
- Operational Oversight:
- Coordinate production, logistics, and quality assurance to meet export market demands.
- Ensure compliance with international food safety standards and APAC trade regulations.
- Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage regional sales and operational teams.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on growth and customer satisfaction.
- Market Intelligence:
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes in the APAC region.
- Provide data-driven insights to inform corporate decisions.
3. Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 10 years’ leadership experience in the food manufacturing and export sector, preferably in meat or protein products.
- Proven track record in developing APAC markets and delivering strong commercial results.
- Deep understanding of APAC trade regulations, import/export processes, and food safety compliance.
- Strong network within the meat distribution and retail industry in the region.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and cross-cultural management skills.
4. Skills & Competencies
- Strategic and analytical thinker with strong business acumen.
- Ability to manage complex supply chain and distribution networks.
- Proficiency in contract negotiation and deal structuring.
- Cultural adaptability and fluency in English. (additional Asian languages advantageous - Japanese).
- Willingness to travel extensively across the APAC region.
