Senior Lead, Strategic Partnerships and Communications — a cross-functional role at the heart of our philanthropy and climate advisory expertise. This role is ideal for someone who is excited to connect philanthropic capital with climate impact and who can bring narrative power, stakeholder insight, and ecosystem fluency to help shape the future of climate philanthropy in Asia.

The role and impact of the Senior Lead, Strategic Partnerships and Communications is twofold: First, you will work with the Director of Philanthropy to support strategic initiatives to deepen relationships with donors, intermediaries, and partners across Asia, expanding the Advisory’s networks and mobilising greater capital and advocacy toward high-impact climate solutions in Asia.

You will also work closely with the Director of Climate to build bridges between climate solutions and philanthropic intent, translating complex climate knowledge into trusted resources and actionable strategies that empower philanthropists to engage, advocate, and give to climate causes with speed and scale.

In the Advisory’s early start-up years, this role must be nimble and adaptable to the Advisory’s evolving pipeline-building needs while keeping a pulse on programmatic workstreams (climate-focused communications and partnerships development).

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced communications and partnerships professional to contribute towards accelerating climate philanthropy in Asia. The Senior Lead, Strategic Partnerships and Communications will engage in the following areas of responsibility:

1. Philanthropist Pipeline-building and Engagement – supporting Director of Philanthropy

  • Support the Advisory's market cultivation strategy through relationship-first engagement with philanthropists and partners. Lead high-touch stewardship efforts by contributing to thoughtful prospect research, personalised outreach, and tailored follow-up. Monitor and surface emerging opportunities for principal connections across Asia, and proactively broker trust-based alliances with key intermediaries to enable warm referrals and long-term engagement.
  • Pilot and iterate new donor engagement initiatives, using data and feedback to refine approaches. Track engagement metrics and donor behaviour to generate actionable insights that inform stewardship strategies. Share key findings across the organisation through quarterly prospect reviews to anticipate donor needs and shape timely, tailored touchpoints and offerings.
  • Lead in organising and managing key donor engagement activities by setting a strategic calendar of events and acting as lead coordinator for co-curated platforms (i.e. climate-focused roundtables, speaking opportunities, overseas grantee visits) in collaboration with intermediary partners.

2. Climate Strategy and Communications – supporting the Director of Climate

  • Develop compelling, research-backed and audience-tailored narratives and collateral that build the case for ‘why climate’ in the Asia development context, weaving in messaging around the intersectional co-benefits across key areas such as health, gender, poverty and technology and ensuring resonance with Asian philanthropists’ interests.
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts between climate expertise and the team’s philanthropy advisors, processing and distilling complex climate knowledge into accessible and actionable strategies, toolkits, decks, and content.
  • Manage the in-house and/or outsourced development of the Advisory’s marketing and communications collateral, branding, and knowledge and solutions offerings to ensure design and messaging consistency.

3. Multi-stakeholder Partnerships Building & Management

  • Identify and cultivate partnerships and opportunities for collaboration with select intermediaries across key geographies and sectors, elevating the Advisory position as a reliable climate knowledge partner and convening partner.
  • Leverage one’s own and the Advisory’s networks and continually grow, evolve, and maintain trust-based partnerships within the Asian climate and philanthropic sector.

The Senior Lead for Strategic Partnerships and Communications will report to the Director of Philanthropy and work closely with the Director of Climate.

As and when required, other responsibilities and projects will be assigned by line management.
