The Senior Manager, HR Data Stewardship and Data Product work on establishing the rules associated with HR Data Model, Data Quality, HR Reporting and HR Data Governance. The role is also accountable for end-to-end management of the HR Data product (tools) cycle which include the partnering with stakeholders on the requirements, design of the solution, production of the group HR data product and all activities leading to the product launch (school) and transition to maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- As a key member of the HR Data office, organise and lead the engagement with the HR Data Steward community.
- In support of the Director, People Analytics, collaborate with the Prudential Data Office to align on a holistic view of business and employee data, ensuring global consistency. Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to ensure HR data governance aligns with the broader organizational data strategy.
- Contribute to the design of a framework for a 360-degree view of employees by integrating internal data (such as engagement and transaction data) and external data (such as compensation benchmarks and social listening data)
- In partnership with the HR Technology, define the future HR Data Model, a visual representation of the structure and organization of people data and relationships between data elements- what is in workday and what is not.
- Catalogue all reports and group external commitments that contain people data, establishing global definitions for all data metrics within current people reports inventory.
- Establish policies and processes to ensure the accuracy and access control of personal and organizational data in alignment with Data Dictionary, local data regulation (i.e., GDPR) and Group Data Policy (GGM). Champion data privacy and security, staying abreast of regulations and best practices to mitigate risks associated with HR data.
- Develop and maintain data governance and HR data lifecycle strategy & policies that defines standards, responsibilities, data archiving/disposal and processes to ensure the accuracy, security, integrity and compliance of HR data.
- Lead the clean-up, checks and validation of all HR master data, implementing process and conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with legal and organizational standards.
- Establish clear data ownership models to ensure accountability for data quality and compliance.
- Implement and manage an access control framework for PowerBI & Workday, defining user roles and permissions to protect sensitive HR information.
- Build training materials for all HR BI Solutions, ensuring HR colleagues have the know-how and the materials to go to for questions.
- Monitor the effectiveness of data governance practices, using metrics and feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Skills & Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in stakeholder management, project management, analytics etc.
- Extensive experience in HR data governance, with a proven track record of implementing data governance frameworks.
- Expertise in PowerBI & Workday, with a deep understanding of their data governance and access control features.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience in community engagement, training delivery, and change management.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate the need for change, its benefits, and the implementation process clearly and concisely. This includes active listening, tailoring messages to diverse audiences, and fostering transparency throughout the change journey.
- Experience facilitating workshops, training sessions, and meetings that keep discussions focused, foster collaboration, and navigate conflict constructively.
- Has the emotional intelligence to identify the root causes of resistance to change, address concerns through open communication, and develop strategies to mitigate challenges.
- Proven experience in HR data management, managing projects and meeting reporting timelines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of data protection laws, regulations, and best practices, with experience in ensuring organizational compliance.
- The ability to articulate both the ethical implications of data collection, storage, and usage as well as the clear benefits of data governance for the organization.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse teams and influencing senior management.
