Our client is seeking a dynamic professional to spearhead sales initiatives, provide technical expertise, and ensure flawless delivery of marine engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Advisory & Solutions
- Offer expert guidance before and after sales on marine propulsion and turbocharger systems.
- Develop customised proposals, including technical specifications and pricing.
- Partner with engineering teams to design effective, cost-conscious solutions.
Client Engagement & Account Management
- Cultivate and strengthen long-term partnerships with clients in the maritime and shipping industry.
- Conduct client visits and discussions to uncover requirements and growth opportunities.
- Act as the main liaison for all technical and commercial matters.
Sales Growth & Business Expansion
- Drive revenue generation by identifying prospects and converting opportunities into contracts.
- Support the full sales cycle: tender preparation, contract discussions, and closing agreements.
- Maintain accurate pipeline data and forecasts within the CRM system.
Market Intelligence & Service Development
- Track developments in the marine sector and monitor competitor activities.
- Collect client insights to recommend service improvements or new product lines.
Project Alignment & Delivery Support
- Ensure seamless transition of secured projects to operations for execution.
- Monitor service delivery to align with client requirements and satisfaction.
- Participate in after-service reviews to contribute to continuous improvement.
Candidate Profile
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Marine, or related Engineering discipline.
- At least 3–5 years of sales or technical support experience within marine engineering.
- Solid understanding of marine propulsion equipment, especially turbochargers from established OEMs (e.g., ABB, MAN, MET).
- Strong track record of achieving sales results and developing lasting client relationships.
- Skilled communicator with proven negotiation and presentation ability.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Open to regional and international travel as part of role requirements.
