As a Senior/Finance Manager, Strategic Projects, you will be partnering with the Senior Management and Corporate Leaders to support the financial functions of the Group and Corporate functions. Reporting to the Finance Associate Director (Group Management Reporting – Strategic Projects/Global Corporate), you will provide advisory support to management on finance matters, especially business forward projections for internal and external use. You’ll work closely with the Strategic Planning team to align Group performance messaging with overall strategy and market position. This visible role involves senior management exposure and contributes to the Group’s strategic business planning.
What will you do?
Group Financial Forecasting & Performance Analysis
- Responsible in driving the Group forward projections and in-depth analysis on Group performance, down to various segments and providing business insights, for purposes of potential investment opportunities.
Financial Performance and Strategy Alignment
- Liaise closely with Singtel Group Investor Relations and NCS Strategy Planning team on addressing any queries with regards to the company’s performance and forward projections and ensure alignment of model & equity story with overall group strategy and market position
Financial Modelling & Forecast Review
- Review detailed financial models and forecasts as well as drive continuous improvement in financial analysis, reporting and messaging to support both short and long-term strategic planning.
Stakeholder Communication & Financial Reporting Lead
- Manage key stakeholders’ expectations and ensure regular and timely communication on financial matters and present analyses and reports on relevant operating and financial metrics in an easy-to-understand format to Internal and External Stakeholders for investment and M&A opportunities.
- Responsible for providing a high standard results presentation deck on the company’s performance for management to present to various stakeholders (both internal and external)
Financial Due Diligence & Reporting Liaison
- Engage as key NCS Finance SPOC in Financial Due Diligence for investment opportunities
- Coordinating FDD/FVDD requirements between Auditors and NCS finance teams, including timeline management and deliverables.
- Forming the bridge between Statutory and Management reporting.
Management Reporting & Completion Accounts Review
- Completion of Accounts financial requests coordination and review. Drive new management reporting requirements from Investors and/or Partners post-completion.
The Ideal Candidate Should Possess:
- 7 - 8 years of relevant working experience in financial analysis and group management reporting, with experience in dealing with different business stakeholders.
- Strong financial modelling skills, with experience in strategic or M&A projects
- Solid understanding of accounting standards
- Experience with SAP, BW, BPC, and other business intelligence or reporting tools; strong working knowledge of SAP is an advantage
- Possess excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Strong leadership and highly motivated to overcome challenges
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadline
- Bachelor’s degree in accountancy
- Professional certification (e.g., ACCA/ CA) is a good to have
- Prior experience in banking with exposure to auditing is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in the Japanese language is an added advantage
