Summary
Responsible for assisting the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating the technical and management aspects of assigned project to ensure that they comply with engineering standards/practices, and are completed within budget & schedule and client’s expectations. May work on a number of projects, all at various stages from feasibility through to installation and final commissioning, at any given time in the local and/or regional markets.
Duties
- Plans, schedules, implements, co-ordinate and manages project activities, including follow-up with external consultants, sub-consultants, suppliers/contractors, authorities to ensure timely response to action items and compliance with contractual requirements, taking into account the budgeted qualities and cost.
- Responsible for effective planning on available manpower, existing structure and processes to ensure that the project’s overall resources are used effectively and project deadlines are met.
- Ensures effective communication and coordination on assigned projects between all disciplines and all other project participants for commercial & technical issues; collection and dissemination of technical information between/within the company and client.
- Attends weekly site meeting to monitor progress of project activities and address/resolve any outstanding matters arising. Prepares and submits project progress reports and documentations to Project Manager.
- Chairs monthly / weekly meetings on behalf of Project Manager during his absence.
- Participates in client/contractor meetings and resolves client/engineering and management project issues.
- Processes variation orders & progress claims, and follow thru with client till final payment upon completion of project.
- Develops, maintains and manages working relationships with clients and all related parties.
- Ensures compliance with the company’s SOPs, Quality, HSE policies, and code of business ethics to eliminate non-conformance and re-works.
- Performs any other duties as and when assigned by the company.
