Scope
We are looking for a skilled and experienced SPOT Foundation IP Engineer with strong expertise in Foundation IP (FIP) circuits including custom memory design. Your primary responsibility will be on FIP Circuits, layout development and characterization flows, performance, power and area PPA (optimization). You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality, reliability, and efficiency.
Specific Responsibilities
- Analyze and evaluate FIPs and memory technologies
- Define next-gen memory specs with system architects
- Drive custom circuit design and simulation
- Lead characterization and memory evaluation
- Ensure high yield and reliability with process and foundry engineers
- Review test data and recommend enhancements
- Stay current with emerging memory trends
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering with a minimum of 5+ years of experience
- Strong experience in end-to-end FIP development
- Familiar with low-power, high-performance design techniques
- In-depth knowledge of memory architecture and key components (e.g., sense amps, peripheral circuits)
- Proficient with EDA tools and layout principles
- Experienced in memory characterization and test data analysis
- Soft Skills:
- Collaborative and adaptable
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting ability
- Effective communication in a cross-functional environmentin standard cell design. This includes setting up library characterization flows and methodologies, QA flows, circuit design, layout, and simulation, with a strong emphasis on FinFET technologies (e.g., 16nm, 12nm, 6nm, or below).
