What you'll do:
As a Technical Expert, you will serve a pivotal function in guaranteeing the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities. You will:
- Provide technical support to the team for daily routine and repair work orders as assigned.
- Ensure all routine maintenance works are carried out as scheduled and align with Engineering standards and procedures.
- Respond on-call for maintenance/service breakdowns and support ongoing operations.
- Lead or perform troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis of equipment breakdowns and carry out repairs.
- Coordinate and supervise vendors/service providers' activities for routine utilities and maintenance work to ensure equipment is maintained in full operational status.
- Manage operations and maintenance and spares.
- Perform regular equipment inspections to provide feedback on status.
- Supervise repairs or upgrading works to enable smooth handover and minimize disruption to production schedules.
- Apply for and close work permits with Area/System Owners for vendor/service providers.
- Maintain all site utilities in optimum condition in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and EHS requirements.
- Ensure all GMP documentation related to maintenance activities is completed accurately and processed to full completion.
- Communicate with Supervisor/Manager when encountering non-compliance issues, including work delays, breakdowns, missing parts, etc.
- Share knowledge and train Engineers and Utility Technicians on utilities systems to improve their expertise.
- Implement preventive maintenance programs by reviewing operations, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics, and inspecting operating equipment and systems for conformance with operational standards/cGMP for utilities services.
- Participate and lead, when required, in all investigations (contaminations, observations, deviations, and discrepancies) related to audits, manufacturing processes, and propose CAPA.
- Perform system evaluations and performance reports to ensure all utility equipment is operating efficiently and downtime is limited to scheduled maintenance.
- Analyze technical problems in the utility and manufacturing areas and develop both short-term and long-term recommendations for their correction.
- Lead or assist cross-functional teams in finding solutions to technical problems.
- Carry out any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor/Manager, including but not limited to the above.
What we're looking for:
Our ideal candidate is highly committed and diligent, with a proven track record in troubleshooting utilities in manufacturing plant setting. You should have:
- A Bachelor's degree and/or Diploma, preferably in a bioscience-related field.
- Related cGMP working experience in the biotech/pharma manufacturing sector, which will be highly advantageous.
- Expertise in troubleshooting site utilities issues in a manufacturing plant setting.
- At least 10 years of experience in utilities management/equipment optimization.
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
