As the Technical Service Analyst, you will assist in designing and carrying out lab trials within various applications, making use of all Tate and Lyle products to support internal and external customers in the focused market segments and key accounts in the region.
Work closely in collaboration with market-facing teams (Technical Service, Sales and Marketing) to achieve new business growth and defend existing business through efficient and proactive project work. This critical role is also responsible for the routine maintenance of lab facilities and equipment.

We’re looking to recruit a Technical Service Analyst for our Application Lab in the Asia Pacific HQ. This role reports to the Laboratory Manager, based in Singapore.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Design, plan, and execute laboratory trials across various food applications using Tate and Lyle’s product portfolios
- Support product development and formulation work inline with customer requests, innovation projects, and market trends
- Prepare prototypes for internal evaluations, customer samples, and demonstrations
- Collaborate closely with sales and marketing teams to support key accounts and strategic market segments
- Translate customer needs into practical solutions through technical support and tailored application work
- Participate in customer visits, technical discussions, and presentations when needed
- Deliver projects on time and in line with business priorities and customer timelines
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of formulation trials, methodologies and results
- Provide technical reports, data, and insights to support internal reviews and customer engagements
- Ensure proper housekeeping, safety, and hygiene within the laboratory environment
- Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of lab equipment, and coordinate servicing when needed
- Maintain inventory of lab supplies and ensure readiness for project execution
EHS
Perform, maintain and improve the EHS standard and requirements as set by the Company. Participate in the company’s EHS program, including training, audit etc., arranged by the company.
Location
This role is assigned to be based in the Regional HQ office, located at Biopolis (Buona Vista MRT)
What You’ll Have
- Degree in Food Science or equivalent,
- More than 5 years in the food industry in a product development and project lead role. Beverage and dairy application prefer
- Solid understanding of food science, ingredients functionality, and formulation techniques across a range of food and beverage applications
- Ability to analyze experimental data, troubleshoot, and propose improvements or alternative solutions
- Organized and capable of managing multiple projects with clear priorities and timelines
- Strong communication skills to work closely with internal teams and engage effectively with customers
- Takes initiative in solving problems and driving continuous improvement in application work
- Familiarity with safe lab practices and experience in routine lab and equipment maintenance
- Having an inquisitive mind, positive attitude, good values in life, meticulous and highly motivated,a team player, works well in a matrix reporting structure
- Have good communication skills and be customer-centric
- Open-minded in working with a wide range of applications and to learn new applications
