Purpose of the Job
Preparation and delivery of tenders, supporting front end sales in respect of customers enquiries
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Preparation and submission of tenders in line with customer requirements, ensuring that tenders meet Sulzer commercial guidelines and have the necessary sign off in accordance with the Delegation of Authority
- Work closely with Sales and Operations to provide cost effective, competitive solutions in line with Sulzer objectives
- Provide support to the Sales teams related to tendering activities
- Responsibility to ensure that customer requirements are satisfied whilst meeting Sulzer objectives
- Overall responsibility for sustaining the profit margin on tenders
- Follow up outstanding tenders with customers/sales agents in accordance with agreed Company requirements, and in conjunction with Sales teams
- Together with Sales, prepare accurate Lost Bid Analysis for issued tenders
- Update outstanding tender status in Access, supported by Sales
- Maintain and provide reporting on tendering activities, trends and LBA
- Ensure application of Sulzer tools and compliance with policies, procedures, codes of conduct and best practice guidelines
- Work closely with the Sales teams to optimize tenders, and to support maximization of conversion of tenders to orders
- Proactively engage and support company initiatives designed to promote a culture of safe working, environmental protection and continual improvement.
- Work together with Order Processing to ensure smooth and efficient handover of tenders/orders
- All other duties as relevant to the PPC function

- To adhere strictly to the company and national ESH regulations and operational procedures
- To contribute development of environmentally friendly products and solutions
- To participate and contribute to consultation process in health and safety related activities, where applicable
- To report all ESH potential and actual incidents to line manager or site ESH manager
- To help prevent and report any environmental and health and safety violations in the workplace
Education requirements:
- Diploma in engineering, science or business discipline and/or
Job experience:
- Experience of dealing with complex tenders
- Experience of contract negotiation in a commercial environment
Knowledge requirements (professional, technical, language):
- General computer skills
