About the Role:
Join the trade operations team of a reputable financial institution. As a Bills Officer , you will play a critical role in processing and supporting a wide range of trade finance transactions, including Letters of Credit, collections, and bank guarantees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle trade finance processing tasks as an Inputter, covering:
Letters of Credit (advising, amendments, re-advising, transfers)
Inward and outward collections, disbursements, negotiations
Document checking, acceptance, payments, trust receipts, banker guarantees
Trade-related loan drawdowns and discounting - Perform journal entries and assist with month-end reporting
- Conduct compliance checks involving sanctioned countries, vessels, trade routes, and counterparties
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in Trade Finance operations
- Solid understanding of UCP600, ISBP745, and ISP98
- Skilled in vetting trade documents; CDCS certification is an added advantage
- Experience with LC issuance processes
- Familiar with system enhancement initiatives, including UATs and related projects
- Meticulous, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Strong communication and coordination skills; team player
