Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and dependable Trading Floor Desktop Support Engineer to deliver prompt and expert technical support to our trading teams. This is a high-pressure, high-visibility position that demands top-tier technical expertise, a composed approach under stress, and a strong grasp of the trading environment. As the primary point of contact for all trading-related technology issues, the successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining system uptime and minimizing disruptions to critical revenue-generating operations.

Core Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day technical support in a fast-moving, high-volume, and diverse trading floor environment.
- Maintain, support, and implement infrastructure solutions including desktop hardware, software, phone systems, and IPC turrets.
- Deliver frontline support for both front and back office applications, including trading platforms and market data tools such as Bloomberg and Fidessa.
- Work closely with Engineering and Application Support teams to resolve issues.
- Support Citrix / VDI infrastructure and assist with the integration of new tools and technologies into the current environment.
- Monitor desktop performance, offering recommendations for system improvements and increased efficiency.
- Handle ongoing desktop maintenance and plan for future infrastructure needs across the region.
- Manage and coordinate support with third-party vendors.
- Collaborate with vendors to assess and propose emerging technologies.
- Review and test patches and updates to determine their effectiveness in resolving desktop issues.
- Provide support for firm-issued iPhones and iPads via Mobile Iron MDM.
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring all IT aspects are properly handled.
- Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation for systems and procedures.
- Support global initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Facilities, Application Support, and Infrastructure.
- Manage inventory including returns, repairs, and new hardware requests.
- Handle Moves, Adds, and Changes (MAC) related to hardware, software, and workstation relocations.
- Submit and assist with application packaging and production readiness certification.
- Provide support for SCCM software deployments.
- Rack and stack equipment in data centers as needed.
- Maintain and support Active Directory services and Print Server infrastructure.
- Assist with Business Continuity Planning setup, configuration, and testing.
- Support firewall and proxy services.
- Provide technical assistance for AV and conference room systems.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- Microsoft Windows certifications are highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an IT support role within the financial services sector.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-level desktop support in large enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of client/server architecture and network infrastructure.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
- Deep knowledge of Windows 10 and Office 365.
