We are looking for an experienced and proactive Workshop Supervisor to lead our maintenance and repair operations for heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, cranes, and loaders. The ideal candidate will manage workshop personnel, ensure repair turnaround efficiency, enforce safety protocols, and uphold service quality standards
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day operations of the heavy equipment workshop, including scheduling and assigning technicians
- Plan and oversee preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repair work, and equipment servicing
- Monitor job progress, ensure on-time delivery, and maintain high standards of work quality
- Conduct hands-on troubleshooting when required and support technicians with technical challenges
- Coordinate with procurement team to manage inventory levels of spare parts and tools
- Maintain service documentation, job records, and equipment history reports accurately
- Enforce safety compliance in line with company and regulatory requirements, including WSH standards
- Evaluate workshop workflow to improve productivity and reduce downtime Liaise with clients, operations teams, and vendors to address equipment issues and service schedules
Requirements
- Diploma or NITEC in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or related fields
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a heavy equipment workshop environment, with supervisory exposure
- Strong understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems for construction and industrial machinery
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools, OEM manuals, and repair protocols
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills
- Knowledge of safety procedures and certifications (WSH, BizSAFE) preferred
