Responsibilities:
- Work with the Workshop GM, Planners, and Quality teams to manage materials, job orders, and resource allocation.
- Ensure that workshop tools and equipment are used, maintained, and calibrated in accordance with established processes.
- Promote and enforce safety norms, cleanliness standards, and personal protective equipment (PPE) compliance in the workshop.
- Lead and coach chargehands and technicians to improve their technical abilities and performance.
- Supervise and organize daily activities to ensure that production runs on time and meets quality requirements.
- To achieve job priorities and deadlines, assign tasks and resources appropriately to chargehands and technicians.
- Monitor and inspect job progress to verify it complies with technical specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Provide technical information and help to overcome routine issues that arise during the repair, overhaul, and assembly operations.
- Verify work completion and generate any required reports, documentation, and records.
Requirements for the role:
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical repairs, diesel engines, and assembly works.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical paperwork.
