- Prepare hire and freight invoices for Bareboat Charters, Time Charters (In/Out), and Voyage Charter agreements.
- Liaise with the Finance Department to monitor and ensure timely receipt of hire and freight payments.
- Compile, reconcile, and finalize Post-Fixture Hire Statements (PFHS), Fixture Hire Statements (FHS), and outstanding freight balances with vessel owners and charterers.
- Maintain accurate hire records to support the preparation of weekly and monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) reports.
- Coordinate with port agents to obtain and validate estimated Port Disbursement Accounts (PDAs).
- Review and approve final PDAs, ensuring accuracy and alignment with charter party terms.
- Work closely with the Finance team to facilitate pre-funding and settlement of PDA payments.
- Calculate and process demurrage and despatch claims for voyage charter operations in line with contractual agreements.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Accounting, or a related field.
- Ideally 1–3 years of relevant experience in dry bulk shipping, chartering, or commercial operations.
- Solid understanding of shipping contracts, charter party clauses, and port operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with maritime systems such as IMOS or Danaos is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent numerical accuracy and analytical skills. Effective communicator with strong coordination skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external stakeholders.
