CCAMT's Faculty of Education is seeking a dynamic and experienced Adjunct Lecturer to join our forward-thinking team. This part-time position offers the opportunity to shape the future of education by delivering high-quality instruction in our MA Education program.

We are partnered with UK’s University of Sunderland, and US’ Rochester Institute of Technology.

Reporting to: Dean of the Faculty of Education, or Chief Academic Officer
Reason for Reporting Structure: Direct reporting to the Dean of Faculty of Education or Chief Academic Officer ensures proper academic oversight of postgraduate instruction, maintains quality standards required by our University of Sunderland partnership, and provides strategic alignment with the college's graduate program objectives.
Salary Range: The teaching fee will be determined based on the candidate's level of academic qualification and teaching experience.
We are seeking candidates with demonstrated expertise to teach in the following core and elective modules:
Core Modules:
1. EPDM09 - Introduction to Criticality: Develop critical thinking skills, intellectual independence, self-assessment, mental flexibility, creativity, interpretation, and argumentation for educational professionals.
2. EPDM95 - Research Methods in Education: Master educational research principles, research design, data collection and analysis, literature surveys, and research proposal development.
3. EPDM93 - MA Thesis: Supervise substantial independent research projects, guiding students through literature review, methodology, data analysis, and thesis writing.
Elective Modules:
4. EPDM104 - The Curriculum in the Contemporary World: Explore global curriculum development, design theories, inclusive practices, and the societal/political influences on curriculum design.
5. EPDM105 - Leadership, Leader Identity and Educational Organisations: Analyze strategic leadership models, organizational dynamics, ethical leadership, and personal development in educational contexts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction in critical areas such as critical thinking, research methods, mentoring and coaching, leadership, curriculum development, and diversity in education.
- Implement innovative instructional materials and assessments aligned with program objectives.
3. Guide students through sophisticated assessment formats including critical reflections, critical analyses, research proposals, and comprehensive thesis supervision.
4. Supervise MA thesis students through all stages from research question formulation to final thesis presentation, requiring 10-15 hours of individual tutorial time per student.
- Foster an inclusive learning environment that promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Collaborate with faculty to enhance curriculum and program quality.
- Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to program improvement efforts.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Education, Pedagogy, or a related field; PhD or
- EdD preferred
- Proven teaching experience at the graduate level in Education or related discipline.
- Background in educational research methods and critical thinking.
- Demonstrated ability to utlize engaging course materials and promote student engagement.
- Experience in mentoring and supporting early career teachers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desired Competencies:
- Deep understanding of adult learning principles and their application in course design and delivery.
- Ability to foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that celebrates diversity.
- Skill in facilitating discussions and promoting student collaboration.
- Proficiency in utilizing various teaching methods, including case studies and simulations.
- Commitment to lifelong learning and staying current with educational trends and technologies.
6. Experience in supervising postgraduate research and thesis writing at the 15,000-word level.
7. Knowledge of contemporary curriculum theories, strategic leadership in education, and critical thinking pedagogies.
8. Familiarity with academic writing standards for postgraduate level education programs.
