We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Chef to support our kitchen operations. The Assistant Chef will help in food preparation, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and assisting the head chef in daily tasks to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and basic cooking tasks
- Prepare ingredients such as chopping, marinating, and portioning
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen and equipment
- Follow food safety and health regulations
- Support the head chef in menu execution and kitchen operations
- Handle stock and inventory management as required
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries
Requirements
- Proven experience as an assistant chef or chef
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards
- Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Good team player with a positive attitude
- Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
- Relevant culinary certifications or diploma is a plus
