Main Duties and Responsibilities
We are seeking an established Assistant Director of Marketing Communications (Marcomms) who will be part of our pre-opening team for the Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree.
Playing a strategic and pivotal role, the incumbent will formulate and execute the Resort’s marketing and communication strategies with the penultimate objective of further strengthening the already established brand presence. As a key team member, the incumbent will work closely with other departments to ensure strategic and effective positioning of the brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate strategies to position the brand, strengthen awareness, and establish a lasting digital connection with consumers. In doing so, the incumbent is to ensure consistency in positioning the brand across all channels.
- Develop initiatives to strengthen the Resort’s presence on social media and all online channels including third party websites. Such initiatives will include launching optimized online adverts, online newsletters, and other promotional emails.
- Measure the performance of the Resort’s digital marketing channels on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly basis. This includes preparation of monthly reports on the identified performance metrices.
- Collaborate with other departments and be appraised of activities in the Resort that can be used for promotional and brand strengthening purposes.
- Coordinate with hotel partners (where applicable) to co-promotion programs.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or full professional qualification in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
- 7 to 10 years’ experience in a similar capacity, preferably in the hospitality industry, and/or with pre-opening experience.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing marketing campaigns and digital marketing strategies.
- In-depth understanding of digital marketing strategies, with the ability to analyze data and propose relevant initiatives and interventions.
