Job Description & Requirements
Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Assistant / Operations Manager is responsible for all Warehouse & Logistics matters.
Main responsibilities:
- Manage and lead functional teams (Inventory / Picking / Packing / Admin / Distribution) staffs in the department.
- Execute and manage daily operations including manpower schedule planning and disciplinary matters.
- Resolve daily operational issues including implementing effective short/long term measures (SOPs/System) to improve operational efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement / Review / Enforce Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Safe Work Procedures (SWP) at work areas. Identify and Conduct / Review WSH Risk Assessment (RA) as and when required.
- Maintain best practice operating standards and adhere to Food Safety systems (e.g. HACCP/ISO/HALAL) implemented by the company.
- Continuously review, plan, evaluate, the work activities, method simplification/KPI and throughput efficiencies.
- Other assignments may be required by Head of Operations.
Requirements:
- Diploma in any related discipline
- Min. 8 years operational experience, must be in Logistics/F&B industry
- Possess positive attitude and initiative
- Able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- Able to be hands-on when the need arises
- Ability to work well as a team
- Ability to lead a team
- Possess good communication skills – both written and verbal
- Willingness to accept posting to other warehouses as and when required
