The Retail Supervisor/Assistant Retail Supervisor is responsible for achieving the sales target assigned by the Store Manager. The main function is to help in supervising the retail staff under their care. You will be in charge of monitoring and mentoring all employees in their day to day activities in the stores, handle customers in their queries and complaints and be able to solve issues which may arise on ground from time to time.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be reliable and responsible for day to day operations
- Monitor staff and promoter performance and behavior at the sales floor
- Conduct on-the-job training for new joiners
- Assist in staff performance appraisals
- Assist in staff scheduling and rostering
- Display strong product knowledge and good customer service
- Monitor merchandise movement and communicate with Buyers and Managers the performance of merchandise
- Recommend to improve business and service to customers
- Handling of stock take preparation
- Act as key holder, for store opening and closing and as duty supervisor / manager in the absence of the store manager
- Manage sales area housekeeping including storeroom
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum ‘O’ Level or ‘N’ Level qualifications.
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in retail, fashion-related or service industry.
- Meticulous and strong in mathematical calculations and figures.
- Computer Literate.
- Ability to analyze the sales trends for the assigned sections & handle difficult customers to resolve issues.
- Able to work retail hours and shift.
- Proficient in English (Spoken & Written) and a mother tongue will be an advantage
