Job Purpose:
The Assistant Veterinary Manager will support the Veterinary and Production Management teams to ensure optimal animal health, biosecurity, and productivity at N&N Agriculture’s poultry farming operations in Singapore. This role brings in specialized veterinary expertise from Thailand to support local capacity building, disease prevention, and production excellence aligned with international standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Veterinary & Animal Health Management
o Monitor and assess the health status of poultry flocks on a regular basis, including daily field visits, clinical evaluations, and laboratory coordination.
o Support diagnosis, treatment, and control of infectious diseases and metabolic disorders.
o Implement and oversee vaccination programs, medication protocols, and nutrition-related health practices.
o Lead preventive health management strategies, aligned with company policies and government regulations.
- Farm Biosecurity & Compliance
o Ensure strict biosecurity measures are in place and adhered to across all farm operations.
o Conduct periodic audits and inspections to monitor compliance with internal and statutory health and safety standards.
o Collaborate with regulatory authorities (e.g. Singapore Food Agency) to ensure the farm meets veterinary, public health, and environmental requirements.
- Data Analysis & Reporting
o Analyze farm health performance indicators, mortality, growth rates, and medication outcomes to support strategic decisions.
o Prepare and present veterinary health reports and recommendations to farm management.
- Training & Technical Support
o Provide technical training and mentoring to farm supervisors and staff on animal welfare, health monitoring, and emergency response.
o Share knowledge of Thai veterinary practices and innovations that can benefit local operations.
- Support Farm Operations
- Work closely with production and operations teams to improve flock performance and productivity.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to align veterinary health with production planning and improvement projects.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Degree in Veterinary Science or Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from an accredited university.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in poultry farming or livestock veterinary services.
- Experience in biosecurity, disease control, and farm production systems.
- Strong knowledge of avian pathology, pharmacology, and epidemiology.
- Good communication skills in English; ability to work in a multicultural environment.
- Proven experience in technical training, coaching, or expatriate assignments is an advantage.
