Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud Engineer to join our Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure and services across AWS and/or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). You will work closely with architects, developers, security, and operations teams to enable reliable and efficient cloud-native solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Deploy, manage, and support cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation and Terraform.- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments and cloud resource provisioning.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance and availability in cloud environments.
- Ensure compliance with security and governance standards by implementing cloud security best practices.
- Collaborate with application and operations teams to support application deployment, scaling, and performance tuning.
- Participate in incident response and root cause analysis for cloud infrastructure-related issues.
- Manage cloud networking, VPC design, transit gateway, security groups, and firewalls.
- Support cost optimization efforts by identifying unused or underutilized resources.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.- 5+ years of hands-on experience managing cloud environments, preferably in AWS and/or OCI.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, services (e.g., EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, VCN, OCI Compute), and networking concepts.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools, specifically AWS CloudFormation and Terraform.
- Experience deploying and managing containers using AWS ECS and EKS.
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with monitoring tools like CloudWatch, OCI Monitoring, or Grafana.
- Familiar with DevOps practices and tools (GitLab CI/CD, Nexus, Ansible, etc.).
- Working knowledge of cloud security, IAM, and encryption practices.
Qualifications:
AWS Solutions Architect Associate, AWS Certified Developer Associate or OCI Cloud Operations Associate.- Experience with container orchestration, or serverless architectures.
- Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Able to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
