The course helps students to understand the processes and procedures of cost planning as a cost control tool in the pre-construction process. Students will examine the impact of design on the capital and life cycle cost of buildings and develop understanding of the market process in the construction industry. This course helps to build students’ understanding of the relationship and differences between cost planning and tendering processes.
Classes are mostly conducted during the day between 8.30am to 6.30pm or weekday evening from 7.00pm to 10.00pm.
Teaching information:
- To teach the 6 required sessions of 3-hr lectures
- To set, coach and mark assessments
Job Requirements
- Possess a Master’s Degree or professional qualification in the relevant discipline.
- Have at least 5 years of related working experience.
- Have at least 2 years of relevant teaching experience at tertiary level.
