Job Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable sourcing and long-term partnerships.
- Source and obtain supplier quotations, review terms, and generate accurate purchase orders with proper supporting documentation.
- Regularly review supplier performance and ensure adherence to company policies, statutory regulations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of fresh produce types, quality grades, and handling requirements to align with customer and supplier expectations.
- Identify and minimize inefficiencies across procurement and logistics processes by aligning quality and delivery standards between stakeholders.
- Conduct cost evaluations to determine the most economical sourcing and logistics options, including bulk purchases across customer segments.
- Monitor and manage supplier claims related to product quality or delivery, ensuring timely resolution to protect operational costs.
- Implement and oversee quality control checks to ensure the freshness, safety, and compliance of produce with current industry standards.
- Analyze consumption trends and collaborate with relevant teams to forecast orders accurately, reducing the risk of overstock or stockouts.
- Evaluate transportation and storage strategies to optimize freshness, minimize spoilage, and manage associated risks and costs effectively.
Job Requirements:
- Preferably possesses experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management within the FMCG or a similar industry.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively across departments. Self-motivated and results-driven, with strong analytical thinking and negotiation capabilities.
