Job Summary
The successful candidate will take ownership of a key product category, driving commercial performance through strategic planning, supplier collaboration, and customer-focused execution. This role involves curating the right product mix, optimizing pricing and placement strategies, and leading promotional initiatives to grow sales and profitability. The candidate will also manage the full product development cycle, strengthen private label offerings, and ensure operational compliance across inventory and shrinkage controls. Cross-functional collaboration and data-driven decision-making are essential to succeed in this dynamic, fast-paced environment.
This role is based in Tampines .
Key Responsibilities
- Lead category strategy and execution to drive top-line growth, profitability, and commercial outcomes.Shape a customer-first product assortment that aligns with evolving market needs and preferences.
- Design and activate promotional campaigns that energize store traffic and deliver incremental revenue.
- Optimize shelf presence and layout through strategic placement and planogram design to enhance shopper engagement.
- Develop pricing frameworks that balance competitiveness with perceived value, supporting both customer satisfaction and margin goals.
- Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships to unlock favorable commercial terms, improve cost efficiency, and elevate category performance.
- Strengthen private label offerings within the category to expand margin contribution and brand equity.
- Uphold internal governance standards, including inventory aging and write-off protocols, while executing category plans.
- Minimize shrinkage through disciplined procurement and inventory control practices.
- Foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing across internal teams and retail operations to support a unified commercial approach.
- Engage with licensees and OEM partners to expand product development opportunities.
- Manage the full lifecycle of product development—from concept and design to quality assurance and logistics coordination.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in category management, merchandising, or marketing—ideally within consumer goods or retail.
- Proven ability to drive category performance through strategic planning and commercial execution.
- Good analytical skills with proficiency in tools such as Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP), Tableau, or Nielsen for data-driven decision-making.
- Skilled in supplier negotiations and relationship management.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and align diverse teams.
