This role includes teaching Mandarin Chinese to students aged 6 and above, including older students and working adults. Ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about sharing Chinese language and culture with learners of all ages and backgrounds, from casual language learners to professionals seeking to improve their business Chinese proficiency.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct engaging and interactive Chinese language classes, including Business Chinese.
- Deliver lessons cater to individual or group needs.
- Conducting classes in-person and/or online (1-on-1 and/or small group setting).
- Lesson preparation accordingly to our in-house curriculum.
- Maintain accurate student attendance, class records and reports.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and parents on the progress and area of improvement.
- Willing to provide additional hours to make up hour to student for missed lesson. Maintain a safe and vibrant learning environment.
Job Requirements:
- Candidates must possess at least a bachelor’s degree or a related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in teaching the Chinese language to non-Chinese speakers.
- Relevant academic background or teaching Chinese as an International Language is preferred.
- Native or near-native proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written), with strong command of English.
- Have an accurate pronunciation for spoken Mandarin (in order to facilitate teaching in Chinese Language)
- Tech-savvy with experience using digital platforms (e.g. Zoom)
- Must be patience, passionate and responsible.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills. Able to commit at least 6 months to 1 year.
Salary range: $25 to $45 per hour, depend on experience and actual class enrolment
Working hours: Weekday afternoon/evenings and weekends
