[What the role is]
You will lead and supervise a team to ensure sound governance and controls in grants management and efficient management of grant claims, for industry and research grants.[What you will be working on]
You will work with stakeholders to strengthen grants policy and governance and provide advisory to stakeholders on grants management and governance. You will also set up policies and procedures on grant claims verification and disbursement and ensure that claims are disbursed in accordance with terms and conditions of the Grant Agreement. You will also ensure accuracy and timeliness in submissions of fund requests to Grantors.
You will appoint external service providers to perform grant claims verification and audits. You will also appoint external auditors for entity audits that provide reasonable assurance on the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls where applicable, and manage all audits related to grant management (e.g. by the Auditor General’s Office and statutory audits).
[What we are looking for]

- Minimum 8-10 years of professional finance-related experience
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Strong time management, planning and organisation skills
- Experience in Grants Management preferable
- Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
