Main responsibilities include supporting General Manager of Department in the following areas:
1. Monitor and supervise the Branch’s anti-money laundering, technology risk, operational risk, outsourcing risk management and strengthen BOC's technology risk management capabilities to enhance the second line of defence.
2. Keep abreast of the regulatory requirements and Head office policy changes for timely operationalization of the regulatory requirements at the Branch’s level.
3. Handle special projects related to regulatory changes introduced by the local regulatory authorities or by Head office policy or requirements.
4. Oversee the effective planning and execution of the department's Compliance Testing Plan and to liaise with internal audit on testing plans to minimize duplication of efforts.
5. Advise Branch Senior Management, Departments on compliance with applicable requirements and provide coaching and advice to junior members within the department on compliance matters.
6. Participate as a member of key Branch Committees/Task Forces/Working Groups; and
7. Any other matters as instructed by Supervisor(s)/Line Manager(s).
Requirements:
Ideally, the incumbent is a Bachelor's Degree holder, with minimum 10 years of diversified compliance experience in the banking sector,familiar with local AML and compliance regulations,preferably being in a manegerial position in charge of a relatively big team/department in the recent years. An excellent communicator who possesses in-depth working knowledge in compliance (including AML) and possess exceptional leadership qualities.
