Role Overview:
As a DevOps Lead, you will play a pivotal role in designing, deploying, and maintaining robust cloud-native infrastructure solutions. Your leadership will ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems while enabling high-velocity software delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement complex cloud solutions across multi-region and multi-account environments, with a strong focus on automation, observability, and resilience.
- Own and scale Kubernetes (k8s) environments, including orchestration, deployment strategies, and service mesh integration.
- Manage GitOps-based delivery using ArgoCD, ensuring secure and automated deployment pipelines across environments.
- Lead end-to-end DevOps initiatives, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure provisioning, and configuration management.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi for reproducible, scalable infrastructure management.
- Oversee large-scale infrastructure operations, ensuring systems can handle high throughput, failover scenarios, and evolving platform demands.
- Drive cloud operations excellence by incorporating best practices around security, logging, monitoring, and incident response.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to align DevOps strategies with development needs and business goals.
- Champion DevOps culture and best practices, including continuous integration, continuous delivery, and blameless post-mortems.
- Mentor and guide junior DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
To be successful you will need to have:
- Experience: Minimum 8+ years in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or infrastructure roles, with 1–2 years in a leadership or mentorship capacity.
- Large-scale Operations: Proven track record managing high-scale cloud infrastructure and distributed systems.
- Kubernetes & GitOps: Deep experience managing Kubernetes clusters and deploying with ArgoCD or similar GitOps tools.
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins), scripting (Python, Bash), and configuration management (Ansible, Chef, or similar).
- IaC Expertise: Strong proficiency in Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent infrastructure automation tools.
- Cloud Expertise: Deep familiarity with AWS; Good exposure in AWS networking components, AWS certifications are a plus.
- Observability: Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus, or similar.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills; ability to influence across teams and build alignment.
