Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Workplace (DWS) Operations Systems Engineer to lead the management, optimization, and support of our digital workplace technologies on behalf of our client. The ideal candidate must be an expert in Microsoft Endpoint Manager, OKTA, Google Workspace, and Zoom, with proven experience in ensuring secure, efficient, and seamless operations across enterprise collaboration platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Microsoft Endpoint Manager (MEM)
- Device Deployment & Configuration: Plan and execute deployments of desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices; configure and maintain compliant device images.
- Security & Compliance: Enforce endpoint security policies, apply regular patches, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Endpoint & Software Management: Oversee inventory, monitoring, troubleshooting, and software deployment; maintain licensing compliance.
- Automation: Leverage PowerShell scripting to automate device management tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- User Support & Asset Management: Provide end-user technical support, deliver training, and maintain an accurate asset inventory, including lifecycle management.
OKTA (Identity & Access Management)
- Authentication & Access Control: Implement and manage adaptive MFA, role-based access control, and secure authentication flows.
- Integration & Customisation: Integrate applications via SAML, OAuth, and OIDC; develop POCs to address business use cases.
- Security & Compliance: Apply best practices to safeguard sensitive data and meet privacy regulations.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Track performance and generate usage reports; provide user support and maintain clear documentation.
Google Workspace
- Administration: Manage accounts, permissions, groups, and enforce Workspace security policies.
- Configuration & Optimisation: Configure Gmail, Drive, Calendar, and related apps to align with business requirements.
- Support & Training: Provide end-user support and deliver training sessions and best practice guides.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Ensure service health and uptime through proactive monitoring and reporting.
Zoom
- Administration: Configure and manage accounts, user roles, and security settings for meetings and webinars.
- Integration: Connect Zoom with collaboration tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft 365).
- Support & Training: Troubleshoot issues, provide user guidance, and develop training materials. Performance Oversight: Monitor system performance, usage, and deliver regular management reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 8–10 years’ experience in end-user device management and identity/access management operations.
- Proficiency with Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android endpoint management.
- Strong expertise with Okta, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Active Directory, and endpoint security best practices.
- Solid knowledge of Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and Zoom administration.
- Experience with scripting/automation (APIs, PowerShell).
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
