Job Description

At Finmo, we’re building the most connected and intelligent Treasury Operating System in the world—designed to outperform legacy banks, fragmented fintech platforms, and niche point solutions. To accelerate this vision, we are hiring a Director of Payment Network Partnerships to lead the strategy, development, and end-to-end execution of our most critical alliances with global banks, fintechs, and liquidity providers.
This role is pivotal to Finmo’s market leadership. You will architect and grow a global partner ecosystem that powers seamless payments, cash visibility, FX, and risk management capabilities—fully integrated into our core platform. We’re looking for a seasoned leader with deep expertise in treasury and cash management, a strong network across financial institutions, and a proven track record of building partnerships that deliver efficient, reliable, and cost-effective solutions to complex corporate treasury challenges. This role will require a strong understanding of Treasury and Cash Management, a strong network of Bank and other Financial ecosystem participants, business development skills to bring partners onboard and business ownership of the Treasury products built through these partnerships.
You’ll own the commercial and strategic delivery of our treasury partner ecosystem with your proven track record of partnership development, working cross-functionally to ensure Finmo remains the most comprehensive, reliable, efficient, economical and forward-thinking treasury solution in the market that solve critical business challenges for corporate treasury teams.
Key Responsibilities
Global Bank & Open Banking Connectivity:
Design, develop and execute a global roadmap for cash visibility via strategic integrations with Banks and Open Banking APIs/providers - leapfrogging competitors in coverage and speedStrategic Partnership Leadership, Development and Management
- Identify, negotiate, establish and deliver strategic partnerships with banks, fintechs, and payment service providers (PSPs) and/or payment channel partners to expand Finmo’s payments, FX and treasury solutions with full end-to-end ownership upon alignment with the Chief Strategy Officer.
- Own partnerships end-to-end from evaluation to execution, aligning with the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) to embed partner value deeply into our core products, from creating, maintaining and enhancing a robust partnership framework, leading partnership integration scoping and structure/negotiate partnership agreements to value exchanges that are mutually beneficial, while ensuring appropriate compliance/risk mitigation and securing collaborative cross-functional buy-in and ensuring alignment with Finmo’s obligations and industry best practicesPartnership Optimization:
- Maximize partner performance through operational alignment with internal teams.
- Participate in complex negotiations with partners in respect to industry verticals, payment solutions, simplified onboarding models etc and leading cost improvement initiatives for partners and regionsCross-Border Payments Strategy:
Lead initiatives to optimize cross-border payment flows, processes, ensuring efficiency, compliance, cost-effectiveness and transparency for clients.FX and Hedging Solutions:
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop and integrate FX and hedging products that simplify decision making besides meeting any other client needs in a volatile global market.Treasury and Cash Management:
Drive the adoption of innovative/advanced cash management tools and liquidity solutions through partnerships, enhancing corporate client offerings and market competitiveness - positioning Finmo as the default for global corporate treasuryMarket Intel & Competitive Benchmarking Analysis:
Stay ahead of industry shifts/trends in payments, banking, and FX markets to inform and drive effective partnership strategies and product development to keep Finmo steps aheadStakeholder Management:
Build strong relationships with senior executives at partner organizations, as well as internal teams (product, sales, compliance), to align goals and deliver results to drive Finmo as the largest treasury management globallyRevenue Growth through Partnerships:
- Unlock new revenue streams through partner-leveraged product launches
- Work with sales and product teams to leverage partnerships and deliver differentiated solutions to clients for new revenue streams and increased market share that competitors can’t matchCompliance and Risk:
Ensure all partnerships adhere to regulatory & business compliance requirements, particularly in cross-border payments and FX operations - mitigating risk while accelerating execution, while ensuring that internal teams are trained in the required knowledge for execution to marketAudit:
Manage internal and external partnership audits as required, ensuring readiness, coordination, and timely responses to findings or recommendations.Knowledge Building:
Maintain and improve the company’s Partnerships Training Program(s) to promote awareness and deeper understanding of Partnership obligations across all levels of the organization.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Significant years of relevant & proven experience in payments, treasury, or cash management roles within banking, fintech, or financial services.
Extensive knowledge of cross-border payments, FX markets, and FX hedging strategies.
Proven success building and maintaining global partner ecosystems with banks, PSPs, and technology providers and/or relevant financial institutions.
Extensive APMs payments knowledge,money service business compliance, and multi-jurisdiction regulatory requirements.
Demonstrated comprehensive understanding of global partnership frameworks, , while collaborating with partners, merchants, third-party payment processors, and banking partners in the Fintech and Payments sector;
Global outlook with a sharp grasp of how to scale partnerships faster than incumbents and more reliably than pure tech players.
A strategic and analytical mindset with relentless execution focus.
Extensive technical knowledge and experience with partnership requirements globally, including expertise in cross-border payments, financial institutions, payments, money service businesses, and banking compliance.
Methodical and strategic approach to work, with excellent time management skills and a mindset geared toward continuous improvement and operational excellence.
