Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic advocacy efforts—anticipate policy shifts, shape regulatory discussions, and proactively influence government agendas to foster a telecommunications-friendly policy environment.
  • Engage at the ministerial and C-suite level—represent Ericsson in high-stakes meetings with government leaders, regulators, and industry stakeholders, articulating Ericsson’s policy positions with authority and credibility.
  • Develop and execute high-level advocacy campaigns—craft compelling narratives, policy briefs, and strategic recommendations to advance Ericsson’s interests in spectrum, 5G, digital infrastructure, trade, and geopolitical tech policy.
  • Host and prepare senior leadership for engagements with government officials—ensuring alignment between business priorities and policy advocacy.
  • Navigate complex political landscapes—leverage deep regional expertise to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities in South-East Asia’s evolving regulatory environment.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration—work with legal, Market Area teams, and global policy leads to ensure a unified advocacy approach.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in high-level government advocacy—minimum 10+ years of experience engaging directly with ministers, regulators, and senior policymakers (either in government, a multinational corporation, or a top-tier trade association).
  • Strategic thinker and influential advocate—demonstrated ability to shape policy debates, not just analyze them. Must have experience leading high-stakes advocacy campaigns with measurable impact.
  • Strong political acumen—deep understanding of South-East Asia’s political dynamics, with established government networks and the ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes.
  • Exceptional communication and diplomacy—ability to articulate complex policy issues persuasively in meetings with senior officials, internal executives, and industry forums.
  • Proven experience in preparing and hosting high-level meetings—skilled in briefing C-suite leaders, crafting policy positions, and managing sensitive government interactions.
  • Advanced degree in Law, Political Science, International Relations, Public Policy, or a related field.
  • Fluent in English (additional South-East Asian languages are a plus).
  • Based in Singapore, with frequent regional travel.
