Job Description
- To interface with clients providing technical advice on all aspects of power plant, power system and grid interconnection electrical requirements.
- To support clients technically through project feasibility, project appraisals, procurement evaluations, contractor/vendor engineering, project construction, commissioning and performance testing.
- Lead project electrical concept engineering, system studies and network analysis drawing on WSP's regional and international network of support experts where needed
- To support proposal development to meet client requirements, drawing on WSP's regional and international network of support experts where needed
- Manage project technical delivery requirements
Experience required for the Role
- University Degree in appropriate electrical discipline
- 12+ years of experience as an electrical engineer in the power sector, ideally developed within a professional services environment
- Knowledgeable of modern power systems, the key technologies & components and project lifecycle considerations for conventional and renewable power applications.
- Experience with grid impact, load flow, fault level, harmonic, voltage fluctuation, transient stability studies and assessments
- Experienced with power system software tools, PSSE, Etap, PLEXOS etc.
- Experience with power industry project management and project planning software tools
