Position Summary:
CFR is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Field Service Technician to join our team! The successful candidate will have a strong aptitude for troubleshooting electrical circuits, Windows PCs, and control systems, and will play a key role in delivering exceptional service to our valued customers. This role is responsible for installation, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of the CFR product lines to the customer’s satisfaction. This role will also work with other CFR departments to effectively communicate issues, trends and opportunities.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct on-site troubleshooting and diagnostics of all mechanical aspects, electrical circuits, control systems, and Windows PC interfaces. Identify and resolve technical issues efficiently to minimize downtime and ensure optimal system performance.
- Proactively assist with current and new product development and field testing and provide input on training.
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of the CFR product line. Ensure all systems are set up correctly and according to specifications, providing smooth operations for our clients.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance checks to ensure the long-term functionality and reliability of electrical and control systems. Implement proactive measures to prevent potential issues and address maintenance needs promptly.
- Carry out repairs and component replacements as needed, ensuring timely restoration of equipment and minimizing disruptions to client operations.
- Provide support and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to our regional service teams. Provide exceptional customer support by addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally. Establish positive relationships with clients, demonstrating a commitment to their satisfaction. Support and assist in the onboarding of new channel partners service team when needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date service records, including work orders, inspection reports, and equipment documentation. Prepare detailed reports on troubleshooting procedures and solutions for internal and client reference.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while working on-site. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices to ensure the safety of oneself and others.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical and control system technologies. Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance technical knowledge and expertise.
- Protect the organization’s value by keeping information confidential. Support the organization by performing cross-functional ad hoc assignments as requested.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Strong aptitude for troubleshooting electrical circuits, Windows PC interfaces, and control systems. Solid understanding of electrical components, wiring, and schematic diagrams. Ability to read and understand engineering documents such as wiring diagrams, drawings, and instruction manuals.
- Prior experience in electrical field service or a related technical field is highly desirable.
