DNV is seeking a motivated and inquisitive professional to join our Maritime team in Singapore as an Emission Data Management Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and verifying vessel emission data, while supporting DNV customers with queries related to environmental regulations in the maritime industry.
This position is well-suited for individuals passionate about IMO regulatory compliance and eager to help ship owners and managers navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of environmental requirements, particularly those concerning greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
You will be part of a dynamic team at the DATE Centre Asia, collaborating closely with internal units and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality support and services. While prior expertise in environmental regulations is advantageous, comprehensive training will be provided by our GHG regulatory compliance experts to build expertise and grow within the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries related to environmental regulations and CO₂ reporting via the DATE portal.
- Utilize DNV’s digital tools to verify CO₂ emissions and ensure compliance.
- Support the Singapore Business Development team in delivering verification and related services related to environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with other DNV units (mainly Poland) offering similar services to ensure consistency and quality.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Nautical Studies, Environmental Technologies, or related fields.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in the maritime industry or shipping operations.
- Strong command of English (written and verbal).
- Keen interest in data, technical troubleshooting and system investigation.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive, solution-driven mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with GHG regulations and MARPOL Annex VI.
- Understanding of ship systems (operational and technical).
- Experience with CO₂ emissions reporting systems (e.g., MRV, DCS).
