Job Title: Sommelier
Job Summary:
The Sommelier is responsible for providing expert wine service and recommendations to guests, maintaining and updating the wine list, managing wine inventory, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience through well-curated wine pairings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional wine recommendations and food pairings based on guests’ preferences and menu offerings
- Manage and update the wine list regularly to reflect current trends and inventory
- Oversee the storage, rotation, and presentation of all wine and beverage stock
- Work closely with the culinary team to create wine pairings that enhance the menu
- Conduct wine training sessions for service staff to ensure high levels of wine knowledge and service standards
- Handle wine purchasing, vendor relationships, and inventory control
- Stay up to date with wine trends, new vintages, regions, and emerging producers
- Ensure compliance with all local laws and regulations regarding the sale and service of alcoholic beverages
Requirements:
- Certified by WSET (Level 2 or higher), CMS, or an equivalent wine education program
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sommelier in a fine dining or upscale hospitality environment
- Strong passion and knowledge of wine, spirits, and wine pairing
- Excellent communication and guest service skills
- Experience in inventory management and supplier coordination
- Knowledge of wine storage conditions, glassware, and proper service techniques
- Fluency in Chinese is required

- 良好的人际沟通能力与客户服务意识
- 能够独立管理库存并承担采购职责
- 熟悉酒类保存、温控及酒杯使用规范
