Job Description:
The Regional Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Shopee team plays a critical role in driving strategic decision-making through data-driven financial insights. We partner closely with business leaders across markets and functions to deliver accurate forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis. Our team ensures financial discipline, identifies areas for operational efficiency, and supports sustainable growth initiatives across the region.
- Consolidate, analyse, and present regional financial performance and outlook to senior management, supporting key business decisions
- Collaborate with country finance teams and functional leads to align on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis from both business and accounting perspectives
- Prepare high-quality management reports, extracting actionable insights to influence regional strategy and drive business performance
- Act as a finance thought partner in special projects, leading end-to-end problem solving, from hypothesis testing to implementation
- Support the development, documentation, and maintenance of Shopee’s business logic to ensure reporting consistency and efficiency
- Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and reconciliation between accounting and management views
- Drive ad-hoc analyses and deep dives to uncover trends, identify opportunities, and address business concerns
- Participate in new business initiatives, ensuring smooth financial integration and compliance with internal policies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in FP&A, audit, controllership, or similar finance roles
- Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities, with a keen eye for detail
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and confidently
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial systems, SQL, or data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) is a plus
- Solid understanding of accounting principles; knowledge of US GAAP is an advantage but not required
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and drive initiatives to completion
- A collaborative mindset with high ownership and a strong sense of integrity.
